How Long will the Coronavirus Lockdowns Last? - The Case of Malaysia

Posted by Isaac Obenson   |   Mar. 19, 2020  @ 4:15 PM

News sources from some scientists have confirmed that the fight for Corona Virus and the random national lockdowns might last for 18 months. This means Malaysia might extend her lockdown from March 31, 2020 to a date that will be later on be communicated to the public.

Besides this, Malaysia has just recorded two deaths from the virus. One of the deceased is a 60-year-old priest from Sarawak and the other is a 34-year-old man who attended a religious gathering of more than 14, 000 attendees in Sri Petaling. The Malaysian government has taken major steps to enforce the national lockdown to effectively track down those who attended the gathering and get them tested. The government's efforts do so has seen an additional 120-positive case of the virus, making the total number of COVID-19 cases to 673.

Owing to all these figures at hand, the entire nation is therefore advised not to panic but hope for the best by staying at home to let the government play her role. The public is also advised to prepare for the 'worse' by preparing an alternative plan should incase the lockdown is extended.
