According to the New Strait Times and Varnam, there has been a massive religious gathering of 16,000 attendees in Malaysia two weeks ago of a three-day event at Masjid Jamek Seri Petaling, Selangor. Furthermore, more than 30, 000 participants attended another religious gathering during the Malaysia Hindu Sangam at Sri Singamuga Kaliamman Temple in Teluk Bahang, Penang.
Besides this, owing to the 190 number of Corona Virus cases newly recorded, the total number of Corona Virus cases recorded in Malaysia is now 428. This shows a drastic increment and although the Malaysian government is making efforts to track down all these attendees and get them tested, they have proposed the idea of “Self-quarantine in appropriate clinical settings,” according to Dr. Musa, a consultant pediatrician at the Damansara Specialist Hospital. This is so since it is believed that because of these gatherings that took place, more positive cases of the virus will show up.
So we must protect ourselves as individuals because the Coronavirus is not written on the face of an infected person. Anyone can be tested positive. Thus, let us avoid gatherings, use hand-sanitizers, practice good personal hygiene, and try our best to update ourselves by following the news.
